What a debut Deco had which was capped off nicely with a long ranged goal but do you think chelsea will be able to win back the premiership title
Liverpool made hard work beating sunderland; arsenal looked great for the first 15 mins and then looked very avg...bit like the way they ended last season.
Man U did not impress against a newcastle side which is on a re-built programe.
Chelsea on the other had dominate Portsmouth and i have already said on the other thread that they will win the PL.
Deco seems to have settled in very well, lets see how the month ends when everyone would have played 3 games

United today were quite poor, but considering they were without Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Carrick (for much of the match), Hargreaves, Park, Tevez and Saha, they did alright.
They just lacked a bit of energy in the second half.
Remember, we only drew against the relegated Reading on opening day last season.
Frazier Campbell impressed in spells, but I see him getting another season under his belt with Hull if United sign a top class striker before the window shuts.

Liverpool are so boring to watch and not all that impressive..lets see what happens if/when kean and Torris hit it of.
The main problem with Arsenal is the size of their squad.. they just dont have the quality in dept to compete aganst UNITED and CHELSEA
Deco is the man. 😉
I think Chelsea's best shot under Scolari is his first-year. He can do wonders to motivate players, but as the seasons it could go downhill as he gets too close to some players to let go. Deco also tends to fade physically as the season goes on. I'm curious to see if Scolari will rotate him.
Deco scored a top-notch goal, but you could argue that David James was a bit weak in trying to stop it with one hand, nevertheless, Chelsea are looking really good.
We'll see how things look after the transfer window closes. With so many players at the Olympics it's a bit difficult to rate how well the teams will do at this point. Liverpool may have appeared unimpressive, but we'll see how things look when Mascherano and Lucas join the team, and when Robbie Keane gets in the game and out of Torres' way.

Another great goa; from deco but not the best chelsea performance
