Of course, they have a good team... but they always lose, something is always missing for them to reach the final. I rather put my money in Germany or Italy, it doesn't matter if they are playing well or not, they are always teams that improve in the decisive moments.
Italy had a bad start to their qualifying but their second half was very, very solid. I think they're favourites, even with their typically slow start in such a difficult group.

I disagree.
The Portugal/Turkey match was very open. Portugal hit the woodwork 3 times, had a goal disallowed, and if Turkey had finished better this match could have been a 3-3 draw!
The Switz/Czech match was a typical tournament opener though.

They looked pretty good - better than Portugal so far...
Never take Italy out of the equation. Although they have lost Cannavaro, Chiellini is a more then able replacement, and their striking force and midfield would strike fear into any contenders.
Netherlands might have a pop, but they often flop on the big games.
Spain have the most complete team, but need to gel in order to win.
i put my bet on Italy again, although portugal might spring some surprises if Big Phil decides to start Quaresma ahead of Simao

Quaresma and Ronaldo is great if we're going all out, but it leaves both our wings wide open. I think Simão should start, but Quaresma should be the impact player, not Nani.
