In a major upset, England squeaked out a tie against a heavily favored US side avenging a 60 year old cup loss as the sides squared off for the first time since the US shellacked their former colonial oppressors in the 1950 World Cup.
They were dancing in the streets of olde london towne as their vaunted English side managed to avoid a second loss.
Queen Elizabeth had this to say, "We had given up hope that we might ever see England defeat our former colonials in the world cup during our reign. This was at least better than another loss."
