    I agree...but there too many old fuddy duddys who view fighting as part of the game. Frankly, I think it's stupid.

    Thats the way I see it.

    But because of all the padding the players have, and the lack of padding the umpires have, you cant really expect the referees to step in.

    We had this thing in another footaball,rugby league, where a fight was bound to break out in any big match. However in these days of proffesionalism , it is a rare thing despite some fans pleading with the players to "bring back the biff".
