So if you're talking to an American and you ask him what his favorite football player is, you're going to get an answer like Peyton Manning or Ochocinco, and you're going to be really frustrated if you intended have a discussion about that game where you're not allowed to use your hands. You're going to have to say that awful word "soccer" or at least something like "FIFA football".
This does not mean that Americans don't appreciate or love "FIFA football". Many do. I understand that many people around the world wished more Americans became more interested in the sport. But likewise, many people around the world should consider learning about that other version of "football". They might actually like it.
