It was one of the most exciting soccer game I have seen in awhile, 90 mins of non-stop action. Pachuca really gave the Galaxy hell, but solid goal tending by Cannon and outstanding defense by the Galaxy's other new international player (besides Beckham), Abel Xavier, gave the Galaxy a chance to win the game. Like always, Lando was awesome and he created the Galaxy's two goals.

"Goal tending", "outstanding defence by Abel Xavier"! These are all new footballing terms to me, especially the latter.

I don't get it why so many people seem to want that football remains underdeveloped in the US...

Abel Xavier is to blame for Pachuca's goal. He did his typical, "I'll freeze with my legs open" routine...

    Thanks.

Gordon is a good addition to that team.

I thought Xavier looked like one of their better players in the Chelsea game.

Heck of a pass from Donovan to set up Gordon.

They don't. Don't be misled by the handful of vocal attackers on this site. Phlabibit and slimjim are not representative of the entire US.

Actually I was talking about people from outside the US, but that's another valid question.

Oh. Well that is another question.

US bashing is a favorite internaitonal sport.

The US will continue to get better and better...we have the primary ingredient to make us great at the sport, a large pool of natural athletes with blazing speed who can run forever.
