Oh my goodness!!! 😲
Did anybody see that tremendous Maradona-like goal of Messi
in the match between Barcelona and Getafe????
WOW!!! Pure gold!
😵
Too bad it was not against an English team... just like in 86 😉
Gorgeous indeed!
I can imagine the emotion of the people in their seats, as he
advances, and the excitement, and it is a matter of seconds but in
their hearts they start feeling 'please put it in', and at some point
does not matter the team at all but just that such a huge display
of football is crowned by the goal, and... and... damn, I love this sport.
I saw the goal last night and it was pretty fantastic but am I (as a football layman) being ridiculous is suggesting that the goal by Zlatan Ibrahimovic (hopefully you guys know what I am talking about) a few years back was much more impressive?
The sports journalist on the CBC stated the Messi goal may be the best goal since the 'Hand of God'.
Ouch, Ibrahimovic's goal is a legend as well, IMO, and much more
coming from a national of a country that does not produce such
fantastic players as Argentina.
But I think that Messi is better than Ibra's for one single, stupid
reason: Due to nationality and astonishing similarity with Maradona's
goal (which is famous worldwide), it's the obligated comparison.
Don't know what other newspapers are saying, but the poll in
www.marca.es is impressive (readers' response and debate).
In form, I'd say that Ibrahimovic's goal is probably the best I've ever seen. Maradona's goal, however, it's still the one I'd name as (probably) the best. Not only it's at least as brilliant as Messi's, it's also scored in a World Cup semi-final.
Edit: That we're even discussing this is a testament of how good Messi's goal is...
