    Man! It happened! 😲

Atletico will win La Liga next season and do something big in Europe,
    you'll see 😀

Check the purchases: Abbiati, Luis Garcia from Liverpool, Forlan
from Villarreal (ex ManU), Raul Garcia (the best young midfielder in
    Spain), and now Quarema!

Already there Maxi (awesome forward from Argentina, check him out in
Copa America) and Kun Aguero (also)... and the rumours go that
Riquelme may be brought back from Boca to Atletico, to pair up
with Forlan the way they did in Villarreal.

    Quite strong team, uh!

Not yet. The guy from Atletico is in Porto but that may mean that either the deal is done or in serious difficulties.

In our press, the only sources quoted are Spanish papers so I'm still hoping he doesn't.

I'm afraid our president is about to ruin us. He's being investigated by the police and I hope he isn't selling everyone now as his last chance to gain commissions.

The future is looking grim for Porto.

I feel sorry for all the fans over there, and now knowing that the
    top dog is a crook.

But I am happy for Atletico... Luis Garcia can play both sides and
I am sure we will see lots of very interesting crossing with Quaresma.

    If it happens, that is.

Let's see what happens... here is my source.

    We'll see...

What hurts me is that we had a fabulous young team and it's being split apart. Anderson, Quaresma, Pepe, Lucho Gonzalez, Bruno Alves, Paulo Assunção, Helton, Bosingwa...all great young players.

If Quaresma goes, that's two of the pillars of the team that go and the third one, Pepe, is also being approached by Juve, apparently...

    Where is the rest going?

Gonzalez was heading to Spain as well, isn't it?

Not yet, no. At least, I haven't heard anything consistent. He's a great player.

I think Atletico will be fighting for a Champions League place, but that's it. It's a step forward, but they still have a long way to go. Actually, Gonzalez would be a better choice for Atletico as they badly need a box-to-box player like him.

Mmm...Who knows, maybe it's Gonzalez who is on the negotiation table...

Now that would be the surprise of the summer for the Atletico fans!

I'll check out Portuguese league next season... it seems there is
a lot of quality over there.

Porto has had some of the best scouts in Europe for a long time and Sporting has produced some amazing talents in their academy, particularly wingers (Figo, C.Ronaldo, Quaresma, Nani). Apart from that, it's rare to see some real talent developing and playing though.

Our defenders are particularly violent, which is maybe why some of our more technical players tend to overprotect themselves against contact, which sometimes leads to play-acting. When your being beaten down to a pulp by someone anytime he has the chance, you'll do anything to get him carded.

That said, check out the big matches if you're curious (between Sporting, Porto or Benfica), but the rest isn't really worth it.

Thansk for your contribution, thorough and deep and explained as always, boy.

Now crawl back to your hole in the shop, kiddo.

You don't understand the simple statement that Garcia is equally poor on both wings?

No wonder you have to live off government handouts. As well as unemployment benefit, do you get any special needs contributions? 🙄

lol, did it hurt, shop clerk boy?

despite that fact that in your fantasy world you believe it, trust me:
what you say is not the ultimate truth nor people care at all, kiddo.

    2 facts for you:

    (a) 30 goals of Garcia and key scoring to earn Liverpool its success

    (b) check the bbc.co.uk most recent news on Garcia and the reaction
of the fans (606 debates I think it's called). All of them pitty his
departure because, as I mentioned, his goals made him one of the
    fans' favorites.

Live with it... your opinions are poor and weak.

    Touche!

    😵

Now, as I already ordered you, bitter stalker, go back to your shop, clerk boy 😉

Yeah, 18 games for Liverpool last season. He's obviously the mainstay of their team. 🙄

You shouldn't slag people with real jobs, while you sit on your ass all day collecting welfare, watching porn and pretending to be a fascist on an online chess site for giggles. 😉

hehe... oh my goodness, it really hurt you to be unveiled as a simple shop clerk. Don't worry, sweetie, you can always be 'somebody' here in RHP.

    🙂

I know you are dying for me to rant about your hypothesis, but... er... better not. I am happy with my life, which you obviously are not (so bitter and angry, and now a nerve touched, lmao!)

Regarding Luis Garcia, he is coming out of an injury.

Read the feedback from Liverpool fans and how much they treasure his outstanding contribution to the team.

I rest my case. Stay in your shop and fantasy world 😀

Getting back to the thread. So far it's a no-go. Atlético is offering 22 million EUR and Porto is asking for 25.

After selling Anderson we really don't need to sell Quaresma so I'm guessing Atlético must come up with the 3 million difference. 25 million would be an excellent sale for Porto.
