There are a lot of posts suggesting that the various 'object of our loathing' clubs are on the verge of ruin, suggestions that the Glazers will leave Man U in the same state as Leeds Utd. Then they say that Abramovich will be off soon, leaving a mess, and who trusts these new Liverpool owners? etc etc etc etc
So tell me, what do you think the Premiership top 6 will look like in 2012, roughly?
I'll start...
Arsenal (wise investment and strong emphasis on the future)
Man U (with Roy Keane in charge, recipe for success)
Liverpool (they won't win much but it'll give their fans reason to harp on about it)
Aston Villa (after the Doug Ellis detox this club could get to where it belongs
Sheff Wed (why not?)
Yeovil (wait and see)

Unless there's some kind of financial collapse at the big 4 or massive investment (and I mean of Abramovich proportions) in someone outside it, then
Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
ManUtd
in no particular order.
60% chance of:
Chelsea ( Amramovich will keep on buying the best, last year he bought Ballack and Schevchenko)
ManUtd ( The backbone of the team/squad is young and proven, Keano takes over from Fergie, keep on buying 1 or 2 players a season )
Liverpool ( Much closer to top 2, but not there yet, new ownwers won't spend like Chelsea )
Tottenhan (When Wenger goes everything falls apart at Arsenal, Henry will be a distant memory and Tottenham are improving fast )
40% Chance of:
ManUtd (See above)
Chelsea ( See above )
Liverpool (They should improve, looking at their current squad they can only get better )
Arsenal (Just about fending off Tottenham after Wenger leaves )

A team in the ascendency, well-supported, have been there before.
Mid-table Championship, with the quietest supporters in Britain?
Snowed under in debt, lack of vision from the Board, only one player (Brunt) with anything that could be considered flair...
No Academy to speak of.
Ground in disrepair.
2012 is 5 only 5 years away.... it'll be 2017 before Wendy get back to the heights.
