it wasn't bad, but russia was simply excellent! they've shown some flashes before, but today's game was the first where they kept it up to the end.

not a very good game for zlatan though. he made a lot of not so good passes which caused a lot of attacks to fade away.

Perhaps a bit harsh....an aging Swedish team lacking any real quality aside from the front two came up against a younger and hungrier side.

The Russians were magnificent tonight, passing and movement was sublime. If they maintain that level we are in for a cracking quarter final with the Dutch.

The left full for Russia (Zirhkov I think) has had a fantastic tournament.

Sweden were very poor. Some of their greats from the past are really past it.

Russia were excellent. Shirkoc is superb alright. As was their number 10.

Indeed, Russia was great. Fast, efficient and finishing every time they got
the ball. In fact, they made the game worth watching at all, because when
our own team had the ball it was like: "Oh, my God! Oh, my God! I got
the ball! What shall I do!?", and before they could find an answer, Russia
had the ball again, setting off against the Swedish goalie with expert
    timing and passplay. 😞

Well, maybe the world championship in two years. (With Brazil and
    Argentina - yeah, right, then we'll have a better chance. 😵 )

I'm looking forward to Russia-Holland, because if Russia play as well as
they did against our team, that'll be an interesting and actually fun
    game to watch. Wooo-hooo! 😀
