Well done Millerman:
I would like to raise a glass to Justin Langer.
Acknowledge Glenn McGrath as a one the best exponents of bowling line and length the game has seen in the last 30 years.
But the departure of the greatest cricketer of my lifetime is quite saddening. Love him or loathe him Shane Warne will be missed. All cricket fans know their sport will be poorer from this day forward. Shane it has been a painful pleasure to watch you weave your magic for the last 14 years. Happy Retirement to you.

The glory has been spun so much that we're headed for a massive fall. I'm predicting 4-0 Aussies at best, if not 5-0.
I hate being right.
Will be interesting to see how 'new Australia' performs in the next few years.

I thought that at the time aswell,
But truthfully, weather out in OZ wasn't really going to be a factor (no days got rained off as far as i can remember) and without Vaughan, England always look short, plus their build up was awful...
A fair result me thinks......
Originally posted by rhbI got mine through Willaim Hill, but all the bookies we're pretty much offering 12-1.
Bookies obviously had a good idea of the whitewash if you only got 12's. Good bet though.
I said to a mate of mine on RHP that it would be 5-0 to Oz, but he ridiculed me at the start of the Ashes...
But if you follow the form of both teams and take in the other factors like England's captaincy and build up, let alone individual form (and during the tests, not picking Monty from the start) there was only going to be one winner.
Edit- My parents were Pakistani, so i have been brought up on test cricket, so had a fair idea of what the likely outcome would be.....

There were interesting comments at the end of the game by Nasser Hussain. Specifically this wasn't England's best 20-20 team - a game where 4's and 6's are the only shot to go for. A lot of our specialists are back in England, we can't fly them out just for one 20-20 game. The England team batted like a 50-50 match with sweeps and guiding shots. Hopefully they'll do better at that form of the game, coming up soon.
Will Cameron White be retained for the ODIs?
