    Larry Csonka was a favorite of mine as well...a tough, no frills bull runner. I believe the rest of your choices were all excellent as well.

    Incidentally, the beginning of this thread, 2 years ago, is pretty classic darvlay. I remember reading that and laughing pretty good for awhile.

    i only mentioned the bottom 5 as running backs who are really my faveriet as opposed to best runningbacks

    They were not intended as part of the best running back debate but backs i liked watching.

    However u r being a little unkind by saing Rathman was a joke- he formed part of the great 49s offence for many years.

    Sammy Winder, i am sure will be remembered by many Denver fans as a big star during their great years in the early and mid 80s with Elway leading the offence
