Tim Twellman's bicycle kick goal against DC in the Eastern Finals has to be the goal of the year.

It was a good goal but far from goal of the year. Tim Cahill's is better especially when you consider it was against Chelsea not some 3rd rate American team.

Yes Nani's goal against Middlesborough was a cracker ,but i still think Cahills was better,Nani had excellent lead up tro that goal ,and in a previous post i rated that as the best goal this season ,up until Cahills.

Oh well these things always offer good debate.

We might even see a better one yet.

The type of goal he scored doesn't get better when you consider the opposition. He didn't beat 4 Chelsea defenders with skill, movement and guile - he athletically connected with an overhead kick, the opposition is irrelevant.

As much as I like an overhead kick or a long range strike, all-round team goals are more my thing.
