The only way they can meet in the finals is if they take the first position and the other the second position in their groups. If they both come in first or if they both come in second in their groups they can play each other the game before the finals.

Also the playoffs are set up so you don't have to play a group team again in the playoffs unless it's the finals. That also goes for the bronze medal game too.

I didn't realise that if they both won their groups they'd end up in the same half.
