Wherever there's money to be made, someone will try it, by fair or foul means. The peculiar thing about this particular scam is that the people who take the bait are not the ones losing the money, so they don't get any wiser and keep on taking the bait.

If the news didn’t come with built in spin it more than likely would be acceptable to most. When it comes with right or left spin it is opinions about current events people reject. Some spin completely turns events into things that have nothing to do with what really occurred.

Everything journalists do is a subjective editorial choice, from the size of headlines to the placement of quotes and illustrations, to the choice to report this murder vs. that murder. That doesn't make the information false.

You bought into the fake news saying hurricanes are worse because of global warming. The opposite is true.
Being duped into believing myths has nothing to do with intelligence. I know very intelligent people who believe absurd things because they heard the same myth from different sources. It is human nature. Propaganda takes advantage of that human nature.

Well, it has a lot to do with what we call people's interest and that also tends to make them more curious when they see those news' titles. And since that stuff gets more views and does its own job as a great "click bait", I'm sure we will see more of that. I have tried to install some news apps from the CHplay or download site as APKnite or APKpure. I think it maybe much more believable when the news came from BBC or CNN or some trusted sites. Or it's just what I think 😏🙂
