Additionally, you and he are in the midst of tight games. I didn't understand the persistance of some players in their tourney games, when it is obvious that they have lost.
Don't worry, I didn't interpret your message as rude. I used to resign pretty quickly, but since I just pulled of a stalemate in a hopeless position, I started to discover the advantages of playing until the bitter end. 🙂 It's not always a clear cut decision, I guess. Anyway, I won't keep the tournament from advancing to the next round just on a vague hope I might get half a point out of it.
