King's Gambit Tournament

I have messaged Russ with an idea to start a KG set-piece tournament. What do you guys think? Would you be interested in playing in it?

If we say no, will you cancel your request?

I think it is fine, but I don't know what a king's gambit is anyway. Just as long as it is banded, you can make me feel cheerful.

I think it would be a lot of fun. I have never been on the black side of it, but I have a lot of experience on the white side...

Good idea. If the controls are 3/7 or slower, I'd like to play in it - would like practice in the King's Gambit. 🙂

Russ hasn't responded, but I hope I get the OK on it. The only thing I'm NOT looking forward to is defending against it!

Perhaps your clan is so crap that even KG players won't join it.

well i play the KG and the Vienna but i cant join as i have 4 clans.

It seems as though the tournament WILL occur, with this starting position. And time controls will be 7/14, 7/7, or 3/21 with groups of 4.
