Yeah. Real great timing. I'm leaving in a week for a month. 🙁
Join a bunch of tourneys and start games you know can't finish.
Get timed out when you leave.
Complain and cry about it when you get back.
Join all new banded tourneys that are at least 400 points below your rating.
Ta da! You win everything and get all of your rating points back.
Repeat as needed.

-call Russ stupid (referring to something on fw here) and claim he won't notice
-call everyone who times you out worthless
Then, you'll be a real crackhead 😀
Just a thought: wouldn't the fact that all the tournaments covering the 1200 - 1699 brackets are well under way whilst the rest aren't fully subscribed yet suggest that we need far more banded tourneys for folks in that sort of ratings range to take part in?
Like I said, just a thought...
Oh, and here's another one: on the subject of ratings-based eligibility for banded tournaments, is there any way of working out two ratings for each player; one for their 'current' max reflecting their last 30 days' performance, and a separate 'lifetime' or 'career' max that filters out the effects of timeouts, and therefore gives a more accurate picture of the player's relative win/loss ratio, which could then be used for assessing their eligibility for banded tournaments? That might remove the effects of timeout slides, and prevent a top-rated player at the bottom of a slide from unfairly entering a lower banded tourney and then kicking everyone else's butt...
Again, just another thought...
