as white, I always play d4.. you eventually learn all the combinations and know what to do.. since sticking to that, my rating has climbed.. now playing as black on the other hand.. I just can't find the opening I like..

well i'm proud to annouce I have the rather dubious honour of losing the first game in the tournament to fierytorment. he played far to well for me and i didn't quite realise what had happened until it was too late!

Freddie, opening with f4 is very dubious in my book, thats why it looked easy
