Why so few thematic tournaments

I havent seen one in months

Thematic tournaments are set up in response to demand. Most of the openings that people wish to play in have previously or are currently being played in thematic tournaments.

Of course feel free to suggest one and I'll list the various reasons we don't need it.

It would be nice to have:

- Evans Gambit
-Marshals Gambit
-Najdorf Poisoned Pawn

It would also be nice to have a second tournament for some of the ones weve already have had, the Sicilian Dragon tournament filled really fast, so Im sure theres still demand for those types of tournaments

Well i only just subscribed on jan 1st and was busy with my clan and didnt notice the tournaments

How about the Tennison gambit? I think that would be a good thematic tournament.

1. Nf3 d5
2. e4

or
1. e4 d5
2. Nf3

btw, how do you guys create your FENs?

Alright I propose both a tennison gambit thematic tournament and a benko gambit tournament (1.d4 Nf6 2.c4 c5 3. d5 b5).

A kings gambit accepted tournament would be fun as well, but I wouldn't want to play the black side =)

Yep, agree with this. I've only played Kings Gambit in response 1.e4 e5 for about 9 months now. A thematic tourney on the KG accepted would be great.

I'va also played Sicilian Dragon whenever I get the opportunity but am toying with other variations, Najdorf would be good, but Sveshnikov looks sharp. Been creamed a couple of times as white facing this opening.
