Spring cleaning - inactive games removal

We will be cleaning up our site game archives soon removing any incomplete games where one or both players are inactive for over a year. So if you want those skulls, we suggest you take them whilst you can.

Can you get rid of this one for me? Game 6763978

When I click on the icon it says "player banned, please wait". I've been waiting for years. Plural. 😕

That banned guy has 2 inactive games in progress, his other opponent has 2 inactive games in progress, and I'm sure if I tracked the other one I'd find some more. Has this "inactive games removal" ever been done before?

Both remaining games for ahmetaydin have now been resigned.

And yes, we have cleared up inactive incomplete games before.

Can I ask for some more drastic cleaning when the inactivity affects third parties, as in ladder games.

Automatic timeout as in tournaments would be preferrable.

We just did a similar exercise on ladder games, removing inactives (and long term non-subs) and timing out stalled games. The numbers removed were fairly small though, so it will not result in any dramatic ladder reshuffles.

I was awarded a win in Game 8180238 when my opponent was banned. Will rating points be given in this case?
