The site has come a long way since I joined 25 years ago.

Congratulations Russ. RHP has been a part of my online life longer than the iPad!

I wonder if like me others would be interested to know the story behind how you got the idea and got started building a chess website? And what did you do with Chris? 😄

It all goes back to this project :

I met @Chris at Uni, so we did projects like this together. Rival chess even made it to the CD on PC Format, a PC games magazine back in the day.

I'll summon him, @Chris, are you with us right now?

(He's alive and well, don't worry.)

Congratulations 25 years is a long stretch hope you get in another 25 years. I am fortunate to be here going on 20 years, I was a little late arriving but let my presence be known, maybe a little too much. 😉 All your help you have given me personally has been much appreciated.

I must say I have enjoyed the Site and especially the Clan Challenges. We still have some things to do to improve the Clan Challenges to make it more balanced and fair to everyone.

Thank you for this site, it has been part of my life for 20 years. I just went back and looked to see how long I've been here, amazing, I still stink at chess.
