you compare the best chess professionals to players who play part time on a internet chess site, thats a worse than the football and oscars comparisons you tried.
you talk about a level playing field,
the first and most important issue is to make the site clean from obvious cheating, i don't buy in to the lie that certain players are doing this as a protest, if you believe that for a second there is no point in continuing.
remove the points and suspend the clans involved, send a message to those who cheat
same thing to any other who does it, that will stop it.

i am not meaning to be rude, i simply asked who on here thinks four cheating clans should have their points removed, send a message, you refuse to vote, then take the thread in a direction involving football oscars and professional chess players, if you are not interested in stopping obvious cheats i suggest you open a thread for your next novel.

as for sand bagging, again we are not professional players players ratings drop due to iillness new house new job etc, players like @mctayto should be booted just take a look at his game history.

my simple solution might not be as fancy dancy as what you posted but it's a step in the right direction

yes and so have I but that is besides the point, he is insinuating that Vespin has bought me a subscription, either he produces evidence for the claim or he refrains from idle gossip in future.
