Bionic sucked donkey balls, though. I think Back to Basics is probably one of the best mainstream pop-albums of the last 5 years and so this was a major disappointment. Her other albums aren't that great either but every new one had been better than the previous one.
But now it looks like she's on the way down, sadly.

What I dislike about Aguilera is that in her pea brain of a singer she feels every song requires vocal acrobatics. She gets really old and stale two bars into any song. I agree with all the posters. Tunstall, Lang, and many others (except Spears) are much better at what they do despite havig lesser voices. I'd throw in McLachlan as another who does great things with a lesser voice!
Originally posted by SeitseYou mean female Tiny Tim with a deeper voice? All of the above are mainstream. Galas is a depressing diva wannabe! Her voice is variously described as shrieks, moans, and generally an ululation. Reminds me of nocturnal bird of prey like a harpy eagle with a modicum of vocal training. Whatever she thinks she is she is quite depressing and typical leftist in your face quasi-artist. Quite unpleasant. I'll take Aguilera any day!
Gee, guys, but would you call those performers "mainstream"?
I mean, if you want to speak about best of the best no matter
genre or reach, I'll drop Diamanda Galás' name and the thread is over, lol
frightening!
