Anyone in the US/Canada have the opportunity to see HBO's Eastbound and Down" with Danny McBride? Easily the funniest new show I've seen this year. All 6 episodes can be downloaded now and I highly recommend it.

Five stars for Kenny Effing Powers!

I watched the first episode. It wasn't really my thing, but maybe I need to give it more of a chance.

Well, it's not for everyone. I especially love comedies about pathetic lowlifes who you love to hate. This show is right up my alley.

One of the shows creators, Jody Hill, also directed the low-budget "The Foot Fist Way", which I also liked, and his new film Observe and Report, which is supposed to be equally as dark, is coming out tonight.

I generally go for that sort of thing too. Did you ever see 'Get a Life' with Chris Elliott? I think I was one of the few people who appreciated its brilliance.

Yeah, Get a Life was pretty funny back in the day. Damn, I forgot all about that show.

Check out Eastbound and Down again. pretty much everything that comes out of Danny McBride's mouth is quotable gold.

Best line from the episode I watched last night:

"This bar smells like an old lady farted piss."

Finished watching the first season. Best show of the entire year by far and best comedy since Arrested Development. Anyone who says otherwise is either stupid or foreign.
