    My favorites in this category would be:
    Imagine - John Lennon
    Smile - Nat King Cole
    What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong

    In no particular order those three...also, there's some good versions of Smile out there, but in my opinion none that come close in 'epicness' to the Nat King Cole version.

    Changes for me, but the most inspiring at the moment would have to be some Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds tracks, such as the "mercy seat" (the acoustic version😉 )

    That one! In spades. But it being the Satchmo version is important... somehow, when I hear him sing it, I can't help but think that he meant it.
