I think it's time to let the whole Star Trek concept end. I know there will be many who disagree, but I saw the first TV episode in the mid 60's, and frankly I think the Star Trek concept has been over played, and beaten to death. The world does not need more Star Trek, the world needs a new idea in entertainment. 😏

I don´t think it harms you in any way if some people enjoy it enough to pay to go and see it.

When was the last time a truly unique concept in entertainment happened???

I enjoy subtitled movies. I enjoy independant films. I can't stand Hollywood.
But I still await examples of unique entertainment.

Slava´s Snowshow (not even a movie but innovative)
Inside (innovative if you can cope)
Breaking the waves (you haven´t seen that story before)
A very long Engagement (for the directing alone it gets a mention)
The reduced Shakespeare company
There´s a few

If not taken literally, then it's a malleable concept and any discussion about where the line should be drawn is pointless.
