When you're trying to analyse a particularly challenging game of chess what kinda music do you think to best?

Personally I love all types of music, from classical to rock and reggae, but I tend to stick on some Drum n Bass when I play chess.

    How about you?

Although I love music, there's a reason why tournament halls are quiet. It's because no player wants distractions.

Hmmm yeah I guess you're right, but I find the beats in drum and bass help me think. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'll try analysing my games in silence in future.

There seems to be some evidence to suggest that drum and bass beats don't help with concentration ...

So, you like chess do you?

I listen to classical music when I'm working/making my moves. Although when I really need to concentrate I turn it all of, and usually think outloud. There's a reason I don't play OTB...
