Hmmm yeah I guess you're right, but I find the beats in drum and bass help me think. Maybe I'm wrong though. I'll try analysing my games in silence in future.

Personally I love all types of music, from classical to rock and reggae, but I tend to stick on some Drum n Bass when I play chess.

id go for classical to calm me down, techno to really get me going.
but in reality i listen to all sorts of stuff and dont select to suit the chess im playing

I listen to classical music when I'm working/making my moves. Although when I really need to concentrate I turn it all of, and usually think outloud. There's a reason I don't play OTB...
