Wow, two first places for Gatecrasher! Well done! Congratulations to the other winners, too! And thanks to CFT for running the comp again, and all the participants for their contributions. I would have liked to write something devilish, but unfortunately just didn't have the time. Hopefully there will be more prose competitions in the future.

Thank you, and you're right, there should be more of this sort of thing. I'm quite new to RHP, so haven't experienced previous competitions , and found out about this one a bit late to actually enter, but enjoyed it thoroughly nonetheless.
    Looking forward to next time!

Congrats Gatecrasher! And to Silverstriker and Biffer Spice too. 🙂

And my thanks too, cft, for doing all this. Are you going to release a list of authors or just let everyone reveal themselves as they like?

Lekker! Very encouraging. Might have to start winding up that novel.

Thanks to eveyone who voted for my entries. Glad you enjoyed them. I really had fun writing them. Congrats to Biffer Spice, Mimor and Silverstriker (EDIT and Hand of Hecate). Close results.

Thanks to CFT for organising this, and for coping with all my pedantic formatting demands.

That was me. It started as something completely different and I drank too much one evening and it took a decidedly silly turn.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who participated.

mmm. I think I know all about that method of writing.
Mine was Something Devilish, written in two evenings and edited down to (a wrongly counted it seems) 666 words in a third evening.

The three evenings seemed to account for four bottles of red wine???
I think we need to do one of theesh eventsh again ... (hic) ... 'twas great fun.

Thanks to everyone who voted for my story and well done to Gatecrasher - nice double there.

The tricky part for me was getting what I wanted said into just 666 words (so tricky - and I blame the third bottle here - that I got the count hopelessly wrong anyway). It's a very short time to introduce characters, establish any plot and still get anything meaningful across.

Good work all and I look forward to the next one(s).

Who says it was wrongly counted? The word count in Word says it's exactly 666 words (without the title).
