Some of you, including those who actually managed to follow the instructions and PM me, have a real difficulty grasping the concept of a "sentence"...๐Ÿ˜•

And I've mentioned this in general forum but I'll say it here too - there will be a prize! Like, a real one. I'll do 12 of these, then pit the winners against each other and the winner of those winners gets a free subscription. yay...

It's your claim that it is not a paragraph. Under what definition of one would Deucer's piece fail?

It was a dark and stormy night; the rain fell in torrents — except at occasional intervals, when it was checked by a violent gust of wind which swept up the streets, rattling along the housetops, and fiercely agitating the scanty flame of the lamps that struggled against the darkness.

It was a dark and stormy night which was exactly what saved my sorry butt, the hit man fired 9 shots in quick succession but all missed by a mile which gave me time to pull out my own silenced 44 following the phut of his gun, I got him.

You're right, I don't even know why I contested it actually. Perhaps it's avoidance behaviour exhibited during competitive writing threads - I avoided the main prose comp too...
