She was 77. RIP. One of the great folk singers of the 20th century. She had this vibrato in her voice that turned me off at times, but then she would kill on certain tunes, like "Motherless Child". Some say she was from the Bert Larr school of singing. Remember the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz. That was Burt Larr with his vibrato from hell.

She was 77. RIP. One of the great folk singers of the 20th century. Bob Dylan developed his own way of strumming the guitar by watching Odetta play.
