i didnt dodge the question. i just misjudged the level of:

a) american paranoia (he said americanisation!! he must be a socialist!!

b) american level of debate (turdsmacker? jesus wept.)

c) american understanding of cultural studies.

i aimed way too high didnt i?
What??? Wow. Ok, I hope you're not talking about me, cause I never called you a socialist or turdsmacker. If you're talking about chance, that's between you and him.
Again, all I want to know is whether you have attended any of these lasershows you speak of. And if so, where were they?

OK, lets try Google, see if we can define what I mean.

"Americanisation is the term used for the influence the United States of America has on the culture of other countries, substituting local culture with something of an American culture."

Grief is the "emotional response to an external and consciously recognized loss; self-limiting and gradual ...[text shortened]... el you can understand:

What's a turdsmacker, chancre? Have you witnessed such a phenomenon?
You're the one who decsribed "Americization of grief" by fire works. extravaganza, etc.... what you just described is not even remotely what you were talking about...I agree thet the media sensationalize the events in the news; why didin't you say so at first?..then I would have agreed to you. But this "excess of grief display" is not indigenous to America. European media blow crap out of proportion just as bad as any American media outlet. After all, the Princess was killed in France by Paparazzi (Italian word)....does that mean we worship celebrities in a European way...let's call it the "Europeanization of fame"....then we'll be equal...sound good to you?...Now, turdsmacker?....sorry about that, I apologize....have never seen one...don't want to either..

Hmmm.......you wonder if I "gazed", and now you want to see me "blow"....I'm starting to wonder about you Boss.....😕

The only thing I'll gaze at is a "bearded clam", and the only thing I'll blow is the gnats out of my face...sorry if that sounds boring to ya...😉

i said: "...but without the laser shows and mounds of flowers."

i wasn't referring to any literal lasershows. that was exaggeration. (sigh)

[i]Nice way of completely dodging his question. Again, where are these lasershows you speak of? We certainly don't use them ...[text shortened]...
