And since it's a link provided by you, the details are sketchy. Convicted at some point but served their time? Convicted by a banana republic known for their legal abuse? Convicted wrongly? Convicted of something that is considered a sex crime in that country but nowhere else? Who knows, it's an averagejoe thread. There's another bill Joe, that Republicans wrote, that adds a bunch of border security and would speed up the process of denying asylum claims. But Republicans somehow don't want vote on that at all or even discuss, it's been sitting on the speakers desk gathering dust for months now.

did they commit a rape in the US or in their country of origin? if the latter did they serve their time or are they on the run from the law?
these things matter if you want to give a blank check deporting a wide range of people. These things should be found out before coming here and making an ass out of yourself.
At the moment all i have to go on is Pramila Jayapal, Ted Lieu and Rho Khana (among others ) voted against this and until i get more information, i will trust their judgement instead of yours, a known imbecile who admitted on this forum he doesn't like to learn stuff.
