Yeah, that is funny. If the congregation would not need money because of the end of the world, why would the preacher need it?
Exactly. But followers can't think like that for themselves. They just can't.
If you asked such a patron why it is that the minister asks for money when it can do him no good either,
I am sure they would just shrug it off, maybe make up a reason. same old same old.

This is true, and still making money. He will ride that wave as long as they keep giving!

Yes, that is the sad part.

What do you think his chances of ever becoming POTUS again are?

We'll see that answered when he goes to prison for all his corruption.

@shavixmir

There is a body of research into what sorts of personality types fall for conspiracy theories. See, for example:

Maybe they think the pastor would get them into heaven faster if he has a billion dollars to throw around heaven all day.

your key word there,.. "think".

dedicated souls do not allow themselves to do that. It is disrespectful to "question" their leader.

In some cases it is disrespectful not to "question the leader".

btw, I'd like to clarify my position here...

A conspiracy is nothing more than a secretive plan by multiple people to commit crimes, such as, Russian hackers
conspiring to beak into American email servers. But sometimes these conspiracy theories are conspiracy fact.

For me, you better have some darn convincing evidences for me to ponder such a
"theory", and Qanon conspiracy stuff just don't make the grade. No substance.

I need *convincing* evidences, as in the President John F. Kennedy assassination.

Yes, it was a conspiracy, in my estimation.
