@mwmiller saidWon't work as long as your system is broken as designed.
My non-partisan opinion is that 'we the people' really need to flush the political toilet several times and then find some new candidates for all of us to consider.
@vivify saidI find it amazing that CNN would dare put out an opinion poll that is unfavorable to the democrats.

A new CNN poll finds 75% of Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters want the party to nominate someone other than President Joe Biden in the 2024 election, a sharp increase from earlier this year.
The poll co ...[text shortened]... new report released Tuesday showed consumer confidence slipped for the third straight month.
Of course, CNN is now under new leadership, so we'll see where it all takes us.
Ya, Old Joe just ain't what he used to be. I said the day he was elected that he won't be there in 2024. 18 months later.

2) CNN writes unfavorable things about Dems frequently.
@jj-adams saidTrump does.
@Mott-The-Hoople
I can't believe 25% of Dems want him to run again.
Nobody in their right mind would want him for another term.
Biden needs Trump to win the GOP nomination and Trump needs Biden to win the dem nomination.
They need each other.
@metal-brain saidYour not wrong we’ll see which party blinks first in this game of POTUS candidate chicken.
Trump does.

Still too early to be making bodacious predictions. And although I don't think Joe will be there, as I have said,
It is hard for me to say who will be there for the Dems. Hilary, Newsome, AOC... there are some choices.
On the Repub side, let us not forget that Trump is getting old, too, and he may not even run. I clearly will back Desantis for the repubs.
@earl-of-trumps saidI will make a prediction:
Still too early to be making bodacious predictions.
In the next election it doesn't matter who wins because whoever 'wins' will be installed by the elites who own the news media. Any candidate that's for truth and justice will be ignored, attacked or ridiculed into obscurity, just like the last election where Biden, Kamala and Butageg were at the very bottom but suddenly, magically wound up in power.
But if they fail to install their desired puppet, I think they will adopt plan B and start an atomic war over Ukraine and naturally blame it on Russia.
@earl-of-trumps saidDeSantis is as far from any "libertarian" ideals as is possible.

@shallow-blue saidPeople shouldn't parade their massive ignorance of political philosophy as much as you do.

he were 5 years younger though.
Unfortunately, every President gets to be the scapegoat for whatever happens during his term(s), even if what happens is the culmination of trends that were set in motion or already ongoing during the previous administration(s).
As for Biden, I'm an independent who is registered as Democrat because for our county a lot of local races are decided in the Democratic primaries.
I don't think a second term for Biden would be a good idea.
I'm disgusted with both parties, but unfortunately voting Libertarian or Green or Cthulhu is not a responsible use of my vote.
The Republicans have recently become unprincipled rather than conservative, therefore my advice is for the Democrats:
Focus on economic issues and on maintaining good relations with other countries, be supportive and proud of our diversity while cutting out the speech policing.
Steal whatever thunder the Republicans have left. Retreat on some issues and even agree with them in some cases, to leave them wrong-footed.
Let people say what they want to say, and let them suffer whatever social (not legal) consequences. Word gets around. Let commerce continue to be a civilizing influence (cf. Adam Smith).
Democrats have to shed the appearance (and practice) of being speech-, thought-, and behavior-police if they want to stand against similar policers and indoctrinators on the other side.
Which flavor of candy-coated authoritarianism or totalitarianism do you think American independents would be motivated to vote for?
Also, what gives with the champagne socialism? Why should anyone making $10K or $20K a year vote for Democrats? You are just as much in bed with the plutocrats and economic vampires and opinion-shapers as the Republicans.
@Kevin-Eleven
"I'm disgusted with both parties, but unfortunately voting Libertarian or Green or Cthulhu is not a responsible use of my vote. "
And that's exactly what they're counting on and why you will continue to get stuck either with a demonrat puppet or a repugnicon puppet. Propaganda and the news media are way stronger than even smart people who think they're smart. It's a scam that keeps working ... LOL.
