Who is making demands? I am in no position to demand anything from housewives. I'm simply claiming not working is immoral when you have the time and oppurtunity and you are not studying something or actively raising young kids. Saying something is immoral is not the same as saying something should be illegal.

i think there is more you owe but these are at the top of my head. you live in a society, o great self-sufficient one. you owe to society to pay back something. sure, if you can score a fat inheritance you could buy anything you want. but that still comes from society. the organization you wouldn't last 5 days without.
if society were to expire, what good would your money be? you would have to get off your fat ass and do something. but wait, you cannot do it all by yourself, you can grow corn but you need toilet paper. so you will have to get together with someone who makes that and arrange trade. then you will have to get together with someone that knows medicine and trade corn for health care. you cannot live by yourself. not comfortably.

not to mention that you in fact do pay for something you are not using. you pay for pension with the hope you will get to be 60. you pay for army on the chance that someone might invade you. you pay for your son's education. you pay for people that do not have a job because tomorrow you might not have a job. you pay for people that cannot afford medicine. you pay for police so that they might eat doughnuts and maybe scare a thug robbing you if you are lucky. all your talk about i am my own man is shallow and ignorant. just by typing on your computer you are using several services provided by society. and the money you are so proud of already have been taxed. you don't pay taxes as chris rock so eloquently put it, the government takes taxes. the money you receive its what is left.
