I don't know what to think, which is why I'm asking the question. This election feels different. Dems seem to keep repeating that Repubs are a "threat to our Democracy" and so on. After the BLM riots it seems reasonable to expect more of the same.
There were no "BLM riots".

BLM helped organize demonstrations against excessive police violence (which is at levels in the US unheard of in "First World" countries) which drew tens of millions of protestors but the group never supported nor condoned rioting.

This remains true no matter how many times right wingers lie and claim differently.

Lefty Commie Riots then. Whatever. It doesn't matter. Will there be more lefty commie riots if the GOP wins big next week?

You mean all those businesses that got burned down in cities all over America were just "demonstrations" against police brutality?
You are just lying to yourself.

The riots were triggered by instances of police violence especially against minorities. This has occurred many times in the past, long before BLM and independent of any election results.

It seems far more likely that any violent reaction to election results would come from the side of the political spectrum that rioters in Washington on January 6, 2021 and that is now sending armed men to harass voters dropping off ballots.

When was the last such riot that you know of?

I'm not saying the libs here burned down the CVS in my maid's neighborhood, but can y'all tell us why they do that? I cannot imagine the mindset.

I mean what I said - that the organization BLM was a nonviolent movement that had nothing to do with any riots.

Similar reasons as the Boston Tea Party

There have been some convictions of police for use of excessive force in the last two years that would have been unlikely before the BLM movement gained national recognition.

No they just organized peaceful protests, which, gosh darn it, just kept turning into riots.

Actually the demonstrations didn't as you well know. If the millions or even a significant portion of those who demonstrated had engaged in rioting there would have been damage on a scale beyond any urban disturbance in US history.

It was a nightly occurrence in Portland for quite while. But what went on in DC during Trump's inauguration is perhaps a better example since it was directly following a big GOP win.

Not much death inflicted in DC by anti Trump protests. A handful of police got minor injuries.
