omg, back to Japan you go. You have to be the most obtuse person on rhp....There are so many differences between Japan and the U.S. I don't even want to go into it. Are you from Japan? Is there population near ours? IS there diet as diverse and bad as ours? Do they have crime, violence, drugs, illegal immigrant issues that drain our health care? I'm sure they have their problems, but not NEAR the extent here. Why don't you refrain from being an expert on the U.S. and focus on posting about your own irrelevant country?

everything being equal I would love to pay less, but everything is not equal. Universal health care that lowered the cost of my h.c. (hypotheically) would raise my taxes and lower the quality of health care i get.

example: my wife has to get 15k in dental work done. She went to the dentist of her choice and the entire procedure is being covered under our insurance plan. All i have to pay is the $30 co pay (deductible of 250 has already been met this year)...That's it.

Oh...I see! Everyone who is uninsured is either lazy, playing x box, or "just waiting for a handout" I think you've put your finger on the real problem. It's uninformed people like you. 😏

Wow that's really amazing. Full health care coverage including dental care costs about $150 per month here.

"Here" is not Japan, by the way, as you can see on the left.

So why is it you think that the US has more crime etc. than Japan?

i meant originally from Japan, not now. Again, can't compare there (like 10 people live in the netherlands, and the dentists are probably high) to here (over 300 million with the best health care).

Haha, you're funny. 16.5 million people live in the Netherlands, in the most densely populated country of the European mainland. Also, people use less drugs than in the US.

US health care is by no means "the best". Where did you get that idea?

well why do people, and leaders, from all across the globe come here for their medical procedures?

And you're telling me that for $150 all your medical and dental procedures are covered at 100%?

Yes. Dental care is quite expensive though, you can get the basic insurance which covers all life-threatening conditions for about $100.

It covers pretty much anything except for dental care and non-essential things such as physiotherapy, alternative health care etc.

So you can get an enema? It's the only solution for long-term physical and mental stability.

No, I pointed out inaccuracies in your OP. I did not say the Canadian system is poor.

Incidentally, there are plenty of Canadians who dislike their system. Maybe, on the whole, they're satisfied, maybe on the whole, they think it could be improved. I don't know.

Either way, let's keep our eye on ...[text shortened]... hat Obamacare would not put healthcare decisions in the hands of the government is incorrect.
I'm on government run healthcare and it's the best I've ever had.

My mother has had no problems with her quality of care using Medicaid. In fact, the program has literally kept her alive for years. She has a rare, chronic form of leukemia. I'm actually quite thankful for that ugly, "socialistic" program that she's involved in. I'm terribly sorry for all of you who pinch your nose at such a discusting use of tax dollars, you know, going to save lives and such.

If you don't want "Obamacare" then simply use your own provider.
