"Right, hurrah, there's nothing like a good assassnation to kick start a peace process..."
Actually, yes. When Jonas Savimbi, the leader of UNITA in Angola was killed there was a peace treaty drawn up with the government within a couple of weeks that ended a thirty year civil war.
Let's hope same happens with Arafat. It only takes one psycho to keep these things going (Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot...)

I remember seeing photos in the newspaper, following the September 11 attacks, of Palestinians rejoicing in the streets over the American casualties. Any chance that I would ever be sympathetic toward the Palestinian cause vanished at that moment.
None of them are asked specifically if they know what has happened. Prior to 9/11 videoed scenes like that were commonplace, anytime there was a good old flag burning for the cameras you could always find a crowd to cheer it. To find a single bunch of idiot youths prepared to do it for the cameras on that day...
Different angles, diffirent video "bites", do not a mass outpouring of rejoicing make.
Lots of people go on about a liberal bias in the media, but they never actually notice when it displays itself. The people who filmed that scene made an assumption, and a whole nation of "con-ass-umers" was influenced by it.
Did they teach you about the food chain in school?

now the real question is where is his money, last count it was said by his ex accountent "that he had over 300 million dollars,it is not yet known wheter he has left anything to his wife and it has been said that if he hasen't it will be hard to find the money as he has it in many different place's"
i am setting search in palestine for that money lol😉

I might point out that it was the assassintion of Israeli PM Yitzhak Rabin which initiated the current period of chaos. Arrafat reacted at the time by saying 'I hope that all of us will have the ability to overcome the tragedy and continue the peace process in all of the Middle East.' Sadly that wasn't the case. Just an anecdote I know, but there are far more examples of violence begetting violence than violence begetting peace.
