My freshman roomate at the University of Maryland was gay, my main complaint with his lifestyle was he loved the Doors (which was ok) but he'd play the song 'People are Strange' over and over and over.
To this day, I hate that darn song......

self hating homosexuals? I ask this because of the adament stance they take. They insist that homosexuals are diseased deviants, and offer no rational explanation for their views. This has lead me to ponder the question...are they self hating homosexuals?
I've always thought of gayness (real gayness; not the opportunistic kind that one finds in prisons or on ships) as an adverse mutation like Down's or a hairlip.
So I find the notion of hating gayness bigoted.
On the other hand, if I express an aversion to a mutation, say Down's, why must I HAVE that condition? I don't see the logic in that either.

I know where I'd have inserted his stereo, for sure.
It didn't even bother him when I wore my Air Force ROTC uniform, in fact he nearly got into a knockdown brawl one time when some his friends were getting on my case about it. (this was 1970 and Vietnam War was still in progress)
At least he didn't put up posters of naked guys all over the wall, I think that would have bothered my folks when they came for a visit.
