How many pro-COVID threads do you intend to make?

Austria has had a sharp jump in cases and deaths in recent weeks so they are taking measures to reduce the spread of a deadly disease. Most sane people regard that as utterly reasonable.
The Biden administration apparently disagrees with you. Or are they not sane?

You're comparing Austrian apples to American oranges.

"The Biden administration has no plans to curb future Covid-19 surges using a nationwide lockdown"

The implication is that it is not a tool in the arsenal.

How is that different from Austria?

It's not a tool the Federal Government in the US has in its arsenal.

We’ve got hospitals filling up with unvaccinated people. It is a bit of an issue…

And no matter what measures are taken or proposed, there are groups of people opposing them.

Hospitals are warning that code black is
Approaching within a month (that means triage for intensive care). And some people don’t seem to comprehend what that means. And continue to oppose any form of measure.

It’s like being on the Titanic and you’ve got a group of people arguing that the boat isn’t sinking and another group of people saying that it doesn’t matter it is sinking.

If I do anymore eye rolling, I’m gonna need corrective surgeory to see straight again.

Why are you going to get a booster shot?

The dominant variant now is the delta variant and the gene vaccines are ineffective against the delta. It has resistance to the delta variant in much the same way bacteria evolved resistance against antibiotics.

Given that vaccine effectiveness almost certainly wanes after a few months, I'm not sure how they're going to count vaccination rates. Is someone vaccinated last January fully vaccinated and so they're going to lock down to make sure the person infected 6 weeks ago gets vaccinated?

Seems pretty illogical to me.
Vaccines are still proven to be highly effective at stopping the delta variant from making you very sick.
17 times less chance of hospitalisation and 33 times less chance of ending up in IC.

That is the needed course to take.
Boosters help elderly, who are amongst the 6% of vaccinated with an increased chance of serious illness.

The famous quote reverberating around the world:

Germany's health minister has issued his starkest warning yet on the importance of getting vaccinated.

"By the end of this winter everyone in Germany will either be vaccinated, recovered or dead," Jens Spahn told a news conference in Berlin on Monday.

This is the best an ...[text shortened]... ut it's an anti-restriction argument. If everyone's going to get it anyway, why bother locking down?
To manage hospital admissions.

This is the RIVM (Dutch CDC), they have an English translation (and this is it). It’s the update from 5th of November.

It explains exactly what is happening, what vaccine effectiveness is, which age groups are a problem and why the unvaccinated are clogging up the hospitals (without specifically stating this fact).

Basically, you have to comprehend that if 100% of people were fully vaccinated, 100% of hospital admissions would be fully vaccinated.
The pool of unvaccinated is 18% of the Dutch population. Yet 80% of IC admissions are unvaccinated people. Some 70% or so of regular hospital admissions are unvaccinated.

That is what is strangling the system.

Though I'm in favor of neither, I'll say this for a vax mandate: at least it's preferable to a lockdown.

Humanity has a history of doing this during outbreaks. It's only very recent history in which we have vaccines that prevent outbreaks that we haven't had to endure lockdowns. Probably once immunity levels reach a certain threshold extreme measures won't be needed.

That is not true.

I read your article and it doesn't say delta variant. It doesn't specify any variant at all.

Your lying again the delta variant has been the dominant variant in the uk for about a year and the vaccines are working exactly as they should in preventing serious illness and death amongst the vast vast majority of the vaccinated. It’s mainly idiots like yourself who are suffering and dying 🤷🏻‍♂️
