Many people are speculating that Biden will drop out a the last minute so there are no debates to shake things up. Then a selection can take place for the primary nomination. Some think it may be Gavin Newsom. Other names being floated around are Michelle Obama and mayor Pete Buttajet.

It seems to me democrats know Biden cannot win and secretly want someone else on the general election ballot, but they don't want a primary debate because it might be messy. Biden is so unpopular they fear a debate with Marianne Williamson of all people. They are fighting hard to keep her off the ballot in as many states as they can so even without a debate they fear just having another choice on the ballot will tempt democrats to vote for her instead of Biden. Some refer to this as a protest vote. Biden is so unpopular they are afraid of a protest vote against him.
