Oh boy, she has written a book .... the caravan starts moving now.
Please pay attention to the short description she gives at the end of the interview of Enlightened American Neo-liberalism of which she wants to become the New High-Priestess ( .... keep in mind that she works for a right wing think tank, bro. )

Originally posted by badmoonOh yes, she is interesting. I'm curious to see how her career in the US will develop. She is politically very clever and knows how to push the right buttons and pull the right strings. She sure knows how to go about and win people, including the "top brass", for her cause.

However she needs to get a grip of the diffences between the European forms of Christianity, both Protestant and Roman-Catholic, which do not play a dominant political role anymore and the American forms of Protestantism among whom the (militant ?) Evangelical fundamentalists play an important political role. In the interview she for instance states that modern Christianity has left behind the notion of hell and she considers this to be a difference compared to the present forms of Islam. Well, in a way she is right of course, but in the ears of the average American television viewer this could sound a bit odd and could cause some to raise an eyebrow ... or two.

She has to be popular over there.

Be a good kid and go in the other room while the adults talk. K?
And tell your sister to turn the light off in the bathroom. Dinner will be ready in two hours, so be washed up or mommy will have to take away your dessert.

You know you love Hirsan for her anti-islamic rhetoric. You know you're a scared little coward being influenced by the rich and mighty...deep in your heart you know it.
And you feel the scream inside you dying to get out. Begging to be released, because you don't want to be the racist little bigot you appear to everyone else as. You want to be just and true. You want to be a real American.
But no. You can't stand up. You just wobble around agreeing to bombing civilians and building up fences. You know you're wrong. You know you need to change.
Feel your backbone dude and stand up straight!

The real question is, Will your Hello Kitty nightlight keep you safe from that monster in your closet?

Wimp!
Accept your fear and do something creative and constructive.
Make us proud of you!

Why don't you see if your sister if she will show you how to use your new EasyBake oven?
ON a more serious note, What is your problem with her?
The first is her sweeping generalisation of moslims; it's counter-productive, fascist and only serves to create an atmosphere of fear (and my theory on this should be clear by now).
The second is that she used to be left-wing, but joined a right-wing party because she had a better chance of getting elected. This is pure oppertunatism and is no way to go about politics (PvdA to the VVD).
There are more, but I'm too drunk to really care at the moment. Needless to say, I hope she dies a horrible and painful and slow death.
🙂
