I am all for helping out contries with poverty, but I think that there are much better and easier ways to do so.

Well, you could raise the taxes for the rich and use the money to help poverty both home and abroad.

If you were to bring all the troops home from iraq and afghanistan etc then we would save money there. If America can find 30 billion dollars for a war then I'm sure they can find more money to help poverty.

We could not extend the Trident nuclear missile factory (which is being built in Scotland BTW) that would save us another 35 billion pounds.

We could get rid of capatalism.

Need any more......................

Some good ideas that if they were implemented would eventually change the social ethos and make the archaic notions of the world cup/Olympics and the competitive spirt defunct 🙂

Russia and China did so and ended up at the bottom of the pile.
Both are now trying to recover by jumping on the capitalist bandwagon; China with considerable success so far.

As long as there's misery in the world people shouldn't be allowed to have fun.

Instead o looking at China and Russia as getting rid of capitalism one could look at it as embracing and then rejecting communism...And whilst in the throes of communism both were super powers...

Why is it the lowest form of wit? I think the lowest one is moronic quoting.

Didn't James Joyce write his books through utilising stream-consciousness and he was/is considered a literary genius....do you vet your critiques or do you just start them with any stream-of-consciousness thought that enters your head? Maybe you should swing em by me first and I'll let you know if you're going to make an ass of yourself or not 😉
