Okay, I don't even know where to begin here.
First of all, no one here on the site, myself included, should have any illusions regarding their impact on world issues, at least as related to our efforts on this site.
Second of all, even if we don't make a difference, wouldn't it be nice to engage in informed, reasoned debate on real issues? ...[text shortened]... sleep last night? Girlfriend have you up late?
You've got to do better than this.

Do you have any idea what you're saying?
Competition is so basic to existence that you can no more remove it from our existence than you can make elephants grow spiky pink mohawks. Competition is a vital and necessary component of every species' existence. An abse ompetition. That, my friend, is the mother of all root canals. It's a goofball premise.
Yes competition is intrinic to biological life and evolution as Spencer stated 'the survival of the fittest'... But as Rousseau fomulated humainty has moved from a state of nature to a state of culture/civilization....So do we need archaic forms of competition , maybe according to Freudian maxims that say they're necessary to quench the thirst of our suppressed primal urges, they are.. But aren't we suppossed to moving on, I mean really look at football or soccer as you call it, its archaic full of different coloured clans fighting each other and singing stupid songs and overpaid primadonna's please...An anthropologist from another planet would find it quite amazing in a very banl way

Some good ideas that if they were implemented would eventually change the social ethos and make the archaic notions of the world cup/Olympics and the competitive spirt defunct 🙂
Besides, bringing troops home from Iraq so that we can send money to poor people is a bad idea. It is not the US's responsibility to give aid to other nations.
