Biden Ends Al Queda Leadership

The GOP started it, Biden ends it.
Trump could have done this but, according to this article,
he was ignorant as to the importance of this terrorist.
Hard to believe #45 was commander-in-chief.

While you debate over the dates, the issue is still that there were too few troops to support a clean exit from Afghanistan.
That belongs to Trump on his Dec 7 reduction announcement.
If Trump had won the election, then it would have been his disaster.
That's simply not true.

There were sufficient troops left to evacuate over 120,000 people in about two weeks. There was one unfortunate suicide terrorist attack, but it's doubtful whether a few more troops could have prevented it.

Sure, the rapid takeover of the country by the Taliban had a bad PR look, but that result was inevitable given that few Afghans seemed willing to fight for the government once the US started to withdraw. So it was either stay indefinitely to prop it up (killing and being killed for that ignoble purpose) or accept the consequences.

In my view, Biden, unlike his predecessors. made the right call.

How many times do I have to post this?

That was just a rumor:

https://theprint.in/theprint-essential/who-is-ayman-al-zawahiri-al-qaeda-chief-rumoured-dead-who-resurfaced-on-9-11-anniversary/732617/

"In a video released on anniversary of 9/11, Ayman al-Zawahiri cited incidents from January 2021, which is months after he was presumed to be dead."

After 18 months of nothing but disasters and bad news on every front for Biden and the Dems, it must have been refreshing for Joe to finally have one little tidbit of good news to brag about.
Love how the media is trying to make out like Joe is now some kind of Big Brave Hero.

Thanks. I had to pinch myself reading this. I was sure the guy died some time ago, or so we were told.

Anyway, interesting tidbit for you... One of OBL's responsibilities within al Qaeda was to acquire chemical weapons, like sarin gas.
I believe that was another guy, if I remember
their chemist

Isn't this the same al-Zawahiri who died from asthma a couple of years ago?

Gee, who to believe? It's not like US intelligence community would ever lie to the American people!

Didn't Biden claim some other big shot was killed in a drone strike a while ago, and it turned out nobody important was killed?
