But what if the country doing the false flag attack blames the other side for the false flag attack? Then when you search for false flag attack to find out who did it all you get in the search results are reports about Biden accusing Russia of planning the FF attack. That would satisfy the confirmation bias to those that dislike Russia and make it harder to find out who really carried out a FF attack by internet search.
I guess it isn't a conspiracy theory if the POTUS says it. He can legitimize any conspiracy theory with his base. They want to believe Russia is bad because of the Russiagate conspiracy theory. Biden's transparency in the findings of US intelligence is limiting Putin's options now. He'll have to go further to provide a "reasonable" motivation for attacking the Ukraine. With any luck he might have to just give up looking like he has an actual reason to invade. Without this, he might not want to look like the "bad guy" by attacking without an actual reason, much less a made up one.

Retaliation from the USSR was successful. They got those nukes out of Turkey. Cuba is unlikely to agree to nukes this time. Why would they? Those nukes were removed from Cuba and Castro felt betrayed.
It is US aggression. Russia is just trying to defend itself against a NATO threat, but a major reason is that Russia expects sanctions will be imposed using lame excuses. If the US imposes sanctions on Russia they will surely invade Ukraine and take it back. They will feel they have no choice.
