If this guy is like most liberal teachers I have seen, he would be teaching students that his political opinons are fact.
So I guess it depends on what this guy teaches as to whether or not he should have been fired. Somehow I can get through the day without espousing Christian ideology, but other teachers at my school hang gay flags and black lives matter banners on their walls. These teachers need to be fired.

Who does most of the attempted "cancelling"? Self-righteous conservatives.
It's not a tactic of the left. It is a tactic of the right. The right has a loooong history, going back to the Third Reich, of claiming the other side is doing what they themselves are doing. They think that exonerates them.
