Should they (you) shut down paper mills in South Alabama which emit fibrous biosolids which are 'not known to ' cause cancer? They may be killing people. Let's list things that are or may be harmful to people, and discuss getting rid of it all! Haha

In the case of gas stoves, research supports that 12% of asthma is caused by them. If true, that's a lot of human suffering.
That said, I don't support banning them. Probably they will go away on their own if people don't want asthma.
