@wildgrass saidNo, no, it is not absurd based upon this report which I link. Not absurd at all, you are going to confuse Sonhouse et al. Maybe they won't do it, but we are traveling right now, and for the last couple days, on reports such as this. You libs really get your pants in wads.
Yeah dude. They're still ripping asbestos out of walls and paint 80 years after it was discovered to cause cancer. I think your gas stove is safe. Y'all imagining that some lib is gonna take your stove out of the wall is absurd.
The Article:::
The notion that the government may regulate some stoves out of existence in the future isn’t totally baseless. In an interview published Monday by Bloomberg News, Richard Trumka Jr., a CPSC commissioner who was nominated to the post by Biden and has concerns that gas stoves emit dangerous levels of toxic chemicals, was quoted as saying: “Any option is on the table. Products that can’t be made safe can be banned.”
@averagejoe1 saidMilitary is about defense but not safety? Come on now your argument is melting into word salad.
Safety is such as OSHA, making our environment safe, FAA, making the air safe, such as that. The local police, paid by taxpayers for the good of all (tip of the hat to Marauder) who keep school crossings and traffic safe, and cut down cretins when necessary.
You confuse Safety with Military? Taxpayers, following the constitution, want to have military to DEFEND us all ...[text shortened]... . Do you not love our country? Many on this Forum would call us first thing if they were threatened.

@averagejoe1 saidYou have quite an imagination to interpret this report in that way. Asbestos insulation was unconditionally banned in 1989 but I just pulled some out of my walls 6 months ago.

My pants are in a wad? Youre in Harry potter's world of anger right over mere suggestions.

@wildgrass saidThey had to start puling asbestos at some time wildgrass. It must just now be getting to you, funny you chose to do it only now. See, you had a choice. As to stoves , I dont know who is saying what to tell you the truth.

But I can tell you one thing......Just that facts that you libs can even THINK about running people's lives and telling us what to cook on and how much money we should make purely gives me the creeps. That you THINK about it at all.
@averagejoe1 saidIt was me that pulled the asbestos, not big gubment. Y'all poisoned by the tv gossip looking for bogeymen that don't exist.

@averagejoe1 saidYou are snowflakes.
Surely you jest to suggest repubs are the snowflakes? Surely. Just look at your people 'In the Streets'. (I've never been in a street). Just look at their appearance, their screeching, their coming after people....mainly the coming after people. Was it Repubs that glued themselves to paintings in the museums? Locked themselves in chains around the trees? Have you ever noticed there is not one good looking girl amongst them? Not that I could court one. Brrrrrrr
Whining little incels.
@shavixmir saidYou might want to sit up, it looks like kevelev has been sitting on your face far too long! ๐ค, I bet your mouth tast like pure๐คฌ๐ฒ, yuk!๐น๐
You are snowflakes.
Whining little incels.
@wildgrass saidSo you are saying military and defense have the same definition. I am merely telling you the difference in the two concepts.
Military is about defense but not safety? Come on now your argument is melting into word salad.
So, what is a definition that would fit both words? Don't leave me, I love bouts such as this.
@zahlanzi saidSorry you are so swept up, there are only 2 genders, Sahlanzi. You, are a sheep.
"Surely you jest to suggest repubs are the snowflakes?"
Nope
You are so fragile a stiff breeze would shatter you
"Just look at their appearance"
Not what a snowflake is.
"Was it Repubs that glued themselves to paintings in the museums?"
Still not a snowflake
"Locked themselves in chains around the trees?"
That's not what being a snowflake is.
"Have you ever ...[text shortened]... er too. That will surely trigger them
"Not that I could court one"
I am sure they are devastated
So the people who glue themselves to paintings are not snowflakes? Give us your definition of a snowflake.

@averagejoe1 saidThis is actually good. The goobermint keeps sending out signals that they're out of control, the more signals they send the more people wake up. This is like when the mask mandates came along. People who had experience with masks (who knew what they're good for, how they work, how they don't work) now knew the level of BS surrounding the wuflu drama. We're being gifted wake-up alarms.
hahahahaha. You folks are mad. Note, you still want to tell us what to do. If you restrict the number of cars my family has, it will make a dent in the climate!!! Jay Leno has 160 cars, you should go after him first.
Know up front, ole AvJoe will refuse to wear a brown shirt!!!

I just hope there are enough waking up and that it is soon enough.
Wake the F up.
@wajoma saidLibs spend SO much time thinking of what to tell us what to do.

@wildgrass saidThe door of my stove room is still clad in asbestos. So is my car port. As long as they remain where they are, they are perfectly safe.

@shallow-blue saidI am so glad that you have a choice. If you lived in Korea, or some of Zahlanzi's or Shav's fave countries, you might not.

My mother has a Chinese restaurant in China Town. When they raid her gas stove, she will NOT be able to cook in a wok anymore, she will have not choice but to remove wok items from her menu.
This will limit choices of her patrons, in America, for god sakes. Our govt limiting our choices. It just does not make sense. How do you feel about that, turkey?
